BANANA BREAD
This delicious recipe comes from our Herd Manager, Trinity Smith. It’s golden toasty brown on the outside and moist and rich on the inside - a big hit here at Green Valley Organics!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup Green Valley Organics Lactose Free Sour Cream
- 3 bananas sliced or diced
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350, grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
- Mix butter and sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla - mix well.
- Whisk together flour, soda, salt in a separate bowl, then mix into butter mixture until smooth.
- Fold in Sour Cream, bananas, and nuts (if using) until just combined.
- Spread evenly into pan. Bake for ~60 min or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove from oven, let cool then un-mold, slice and serve!
